Doctoral Candidate of Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy

Cheryl Maurer founded Functional Mechanics in 1997. She integrates a comprehensive knowledge of rehab science,
sports medicine, clinical biomechanics and pedorthics to assist with injury prevention, performance enhancement and
fasilitate recover from injury.
Cheryl is completing her Doctorate in Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy at Rocky Mountain University of Health
Professions (RMUoHP) in Provo, Utah. She is an expert in the field of rehabilitation of the lower extremity and foot
orthotic intervention, speaking nationally among her peers as well as publishing in professional journals and magazines.
Cheryl current holds a part-time faculty position at RMUoHP, is the exiting Vice President and Education Coordinator of the
Foot & Ankle Special Interest Group of the Orthopedic Section, APTA.
Cheryl possesses a unique abiltiy to connect with her patients and address each person as an individual. As a result
she is revered as one of the most successful foot & ankle rehabilitation specialist in the country and was recently featured
